A solo bottle of microdose capsules is for people who already know what they want. The Microdose Starter Kit is for the customer in the middle: someone who’s read about microdosing for focus, mood, or anxiety and wants to commit to a full month or two of doing it properly, with one chocolate piece tucked in as a low-stakes “graduation” moment somewhere along the way.

This kit is not a sampler. The First Timer Kit is the sampler. This kit is the runway — 75 days of structured microdosing on the Fadiman protocol, plus one chocolate piece for an optional sub-trip lift around week 7 or 8 when the microdose has settled in and you’re curious what a slightly stronger pulse feels like. Take each capsule with breakfast, ideally before 11 AM. Microdoses don’t impair function — that’s the whole point — but if you take one too late in the day, it can affect sleep. What to expect, week by week

Microdosing is not psychoactive. You will not feel high. The effects show up as small improvements in mood, focus, energy, or creativity that compound over weeks rather than appearing in a single moment. Most people notice changes gradually, not suddenly.

The bottle finishes around day 75. Standard Fadiman protocol calls for a two-week rest before starting another bottle. The break matters — tolerance builds slowly even at this pace, and a two-week pause resets the body’s responsiveness.

Storing your kit

Will I feel high from the microdose capsules?

How long until I notice anything?

Why doesn’t the kit come with printed instructions?

Two reasons. First, the protocol gets refined over time based on customer feedback — anything we printed last year would be outdated. The advice on this page is current. Second, plain packaging matters for privacy. The fewer items inside the box that say “magic mushrooms” on them, the better.

Can I take the chocolate during the microdose protocol or do I have to wait?

You can take it whenever you want. We suggest week 7 or 8 because by then the microdose has settled into a steady baseline, and the contrast of a light sub-trip is more interesting against that baseline than against zero. But there’s no rule. Some users take half the chocolate in week 2 just to feel something. Some never use it. It’s flexible.

Can I use the kit if I’m on antidepressants?

Talk to your prescriber first. SSRIs, MAOIs, and several other classes of antidepressants interact with psilocybin. SSRIs in particular tend to dampen the experience significantly, even at microdose levels. This is not a kit to start without a conversation with your doctor if you’re on prescribed medication.
