Description
Neuro Botanicals Adapt pairs a 50mg microdose of Golden Teacher (Psilocybe cubensis) with two adaptogens, rhodiola and eleuthero. These rhodiola microdose capsules are Neuro Botanicals’ adaptogen microdose, made for steadier days when life is stressful.
It’s the simplest of the five Neuro Botanicals formulas, and it’s pitched as an add-on for people who already like adaptogens. With 50mg of Golden Teacher per capsule, it’s a light dose: many people take two capsules (100mg) once they know how one feels. If you’re brand new to psilocybin and unsure which format suits you, the First Timer Kit is the easier first step.
What’s in Neuro Botanicals Adapt
| Ingredient | Per capsule | What the evidence says |
|---|---|---|
| Golden Teacher (Psilocybe cubensis) | 50mg | The psilocybin microdose. A light amount on its own |
| Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) | 300mg | A traditional adaptogen used for fatigue and stress. Reliable evidence is still lacking |
| Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus) | 150mg | Sometimes called Siberian ginseng, though it isn’t true ginseng. Human evidence is limited |
That’s three ingredients totalling 500mg per capsule. Neither adaptogen is psychoactive. Adapt is the simplest of the five Neuro Botanicals formulas. Every capsule is vegan and non-GMO.
50mg is half a standard microdose. Most microdose capsules hold 100mg of mushroom. One Adapt capsule holds 50mg, so two equal a typical microdose. That makes it easy to start very low, but don’t compare it one-for-one with a 100mg product.
About Neuro Botanicals
Neuro Botanicals is a Vancouver, British Columbia company founded in 2014. It says it grows its own Psilocybe cubensis and makes its own capsules, from inoculation to the finished bottle, rather than outsourcing production. Its approach is to pair a small, measured psilocybin microdose with functional mushrooms and herbs, and it says it works with herbalists on each blend. We carry all five of its formulas, each in a 30-capsule bottle and a 10-pack: see the full Neuro Botanicals range.
What microdosing with Neuro Botanicals Adapt feels like
Buyers who like Adapt describe feeling more even under pressure rather than any obvious effect. One reviewer taking it every 3 days said they felt more resilient to stress and their mood improved, and another said the herbs really complement the mushrooms.
“I’m taking it every 3 days and I’ve noticed that I’m more resilient to stress; my mood improved.”
It’s the least reviewed of the five formulas, and one buyer said they expected more alertness. Give it a fair few weeks before judging.
Be realistic about the evidence. Research on microdosing is still early, and placebo-controlled studies have found that many of the benefits people report also show up in people who were unknowingly taking a placebo. The botanicals in this blend also have limited human evidence. Some people notice a clear difference, some a subtle one, and some nothing after a month. If that’s you, it isn’t a sign you need more.
How to take Neuro Botanicals Adapt
Take your capsule with a meal, ideally breakfast. Neuro Botanicals suggests taking capsules in the first half of the day and keeping them at least an hour apart from caffeine, other supplements and medication. Its own guide recommends the Fadiman schedule, and suggests a break of about a month after a few months of use.
| Schedule | How it works | 30 capsules last (1 per dose) | 30 capsules last (2 per dose) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fadiman | Dose on day 1, nothing on days 2 and 3, then repeat. The brand’s recommendation. | About 3 months | About 6 weeks |
| Stamets | Dose daily for 4 days, then 3 days off, then repeat. | About 7 weeks | About 4 weeks |
Keep short notes on sleep, mood and focus on dose days and off days. Don’t microdose every day: tolerance builds within days, and the off days are what keep a microdose working.
Stay at one capsule for at least two weeks before moving to two. Don’t drive the first time you take Neuro Botanicals Adapt, until you know how it affects you, and skip your dose the morning after drinking.
| Capsules | Golden Teacher | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 capsule | 50mg | A light microdose. Many people feel nothing at first. Where to start. |
| 2 capsules | 100mg | A standard microdose, the most Neuro Botanicals suggests in a day. Meant to be sub-perceptual. |
| 3 to 4 capsules | 150 to 200mg | The upper end of microdosing, and more of the herbs too. Some people notice it. Don’t drive. |
| 5 or more | 250mg and up | No longer a microdose. Not recommended with this formula. Use a stronger, simpler capsule instead. |
None of this is a guarantee. Sensitivity varies, and food, sleep and medication all change how a dose lands. For larger, perceptible doses, see our magic mushroom dosing guide, and don’t stack botanical blends to get there.
Choosing a Neuro Botanicals formula
All five Neuro Botanicals microdose mushroom capsules start with the same 50mg of Golden Teacher. The difference is the blend added alongside it.
| Formula | Added to 50mg Golden Teacher | Built for |
|---|---|---|
| Brain Formula | Lion’s Mane, niacin | Clarity and focus, Stamets-style stack |
| Focus | Ginkgo, gotu kola, phosphatidylserine | Study and desk days |
| Calm | Reishi, ashwagandha, L-theanine | Tense, stressful days |
| Energy | Cordyceps, Panax ginseng, ginger | Active days, no caffeine |
| Adapt | Rhodiola, eleuthero | Adaptogen fans |
Neuro Botanicals Adapt vs other microdose capsules

Bottle or 10-pack?
The 30-capsule bottle works out to about $2.50 per capsule, cheaper per capsule than the Neuro Botanicals Adapt 10-pack. The 10-pack is the better buy if you’re trying the formula for the first time. Orders of $125 or more ship free.
Adapt specifics: rhodiola can cause dizziness, headache or insomnia and has a reported interaction with the blood pressure medication losartan. Eleuthero’s safety with medication is not well studied. If you take blood pressure medication, check with your pharmacist first. Don’t combine psilocybin with lithium, tramadol or MAOIs. If you take an SSRI or any other antidepressant, talk to your prescriber first; Neuro Botanicals’ own guide advises against combining microdoses with SSRIs because of a rare risk of serotonin syndrome. Avoid it if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder. Read our safety and mental health guide before use.
Storing Neuro Botanicals Adapt
Keep the bottle sealed at room temperature, somewhere dry and away from heat and sunlight. Don’t refrigerate it. Capsules look like ordinary supplements, so store them apart from your vitamins and well out of reach of children and pets.
Neuro Botanicals Adapt: common questions
Will Neuro Botanicals Adapt make me high?
It shouldn’t. One 50mg capsule is a light microdose, well below the point where most people feel altered. If you notice visual changes or feel impaired, stay home and stick to one capsule.
How many Neuro Botanicals Adapt capsules should I take?
Start with one. Neuro Botanicals suggests one or two capsules a day in the first half of the day, on dose days only. Two capsules is a standard 100mg microdose.
How long does a bottle of 30 last?
Taking one capsule on a Fadiman schedule, about 3 months. At two capsules per dose, about 6 weeks.
What is an adaptogen?
It’s a traditional term for herbs said to help the body handle stress, such as rhodiola and eleuthero. The idea is popular, but the clinical evidence is limited.
Is eleuthero the same as ginseng?
No. It’s sometimes sold as Siberian ginseng, but it’s a different plant from Panax ginseng, which is in the Energy formula.
Can I combine Adapt with my own adaptogens?
Neuro Botanicals pitches Adapt as an add-on to an adaptogen routine, but stacking more rhodiola or eleuthero on top hasn’t been studied. Keep it simple at first.
Can I take it with antidepressants?
Talk to your prescriber first. Neuro Botanicals’ own guide advises against combining psilocybin microdoses with SSRIs because of a rare risk of serotonin syndrome, and lithium, tramadol and MAOIs shouldn’t be combined with psilocybin at all.
Where can I buy Neuro Botanicals Adapt in Canada?
Right here. We ship to every province and territory by Canada Post Xpresspost, in plain packaging with tracking. Orders paid before 11 AM PST ship the same business day, most arrive in 2 to 5 business days, and orders of $125 or more ship free. See the full shipping policy.
Is microdosing legal in Canada?
Psilocybin is a controlled substance under Canadian federal law, at any dose. Legal access is currently limited to Health Canada exemptions, clinical trials and the Special Access Program. Know the rules where you live before ordering.

The herbs really compliment the mushrooms
great products
These are amazing and help me in a way anti-depressants have never been able to.
Exceeded expectations. Has helped do wonders for my anxiety and trauma responses. After trying many other things, this supplement is helping a lot.
My first experience with micro-dosing . I bought this product because the amount of psilocybin is lower (50mg) than the others. Also it does contain 2
Adaptogenic herbs Rhodiola and Eleuthero which provide support to the body during times of stress. I’m taking it every 3 days and I’ve noticed that I’m more resilient to stress; my mood improved. It’s not a huge difference so I’m thinking about doubling the dosing to 100mg, 2 caps. Will update my review then.
Awesome.

I didn’t like what I received. They didn’t have what I wanted in stock but had already took my money. They make me feel very anxious and uncomfortable. These are what I ordered and they sent me focus because it was out of stock
